These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the PillApp mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
By using PillApp, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. ABOUT PILLAPP

PillApp is a medication reminder, wellness tracking, and organizational application designed to help users manage personal medication schedules, reminders, inventory tracking, and related wellness information.
PillApp is not a medical provider, pharmacy, insurance company, emergency service, or healthcare institution.

2. IMPORTANT MEDICAL DISCLAIMER

PillApp is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or healthcare services.
Any information provided through the Service, including:
  • medication reminders,
  • AI-generated content,
  • OCR recognition,
  • medication identification,
  • wellness tracking,
  • educational content,
  • notifications,
  • recommendations,
  • or insights
is provided solely for informational and organizational purposes.
Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before:
  • starting or stopping medications,
  • changing dosages,
  • making treatment decisions,
  • interpreting medical information.
Do not ignore professional medical advice because of information provided through the Service.
PillApp is not intended for emergency or life-critical use.
In case of emergency, contact emergency services or a licensed healthcare provider immediately.

3. ELIGIBILITY

You must be at least 18 years old or the legal age required in your jurisdiction to use the Service independently.
If you use the Service on behalf of another person, you represent that you have the legal authority and permission to do so.

4. USER ACCOUNTS

You may need to create an account to access certain features.
You are responsible for:
  • maintaining confidentiality of your credentials,
  • all activities under your account,
  • ensuring information provided is accurate and up to date.
You agree not to:
  • impersonate another person,
  • use unauthorized accounts,
  • misuse the Service,
  • attempt unauthorized access to systems or data.

5. FAMILY FEATURES

PillApp may allow users to share certain medication or wellness information with family members, caregivers, or trusted individuals.
By enabling family features, you acknowledge and agree that:
  • you are solely responsible for granting access,
  • shared information may include sensitive health-related data,
  • PillApp is not responsible for actions taken by invited users.
You may revoke access at any time through available settings.

6. AI FEATURES DISCLAIMER

PillApp may include optional AI-powered functionality such as:
  • medication recognition,
  • OCR extraction,
  • AI-generated assistance,
  • informational responses.
AI-generated content:
  • may contain inaccuracies,
  • may be incomplete,
  • may not reflect current medical standards,
  • is not guaranteed to be accurate.
AI features do not replace professional medical advice.
You use AI functionality entirely at your own risk.

7. NOTIFICATIONS AND REMINDERS

Medication reminders and notifications depend on:
  • device settings,
  • operating system permissions,
  • internet connectivity,
  • battery optimization,
  • third-party services,
  • push notification systems.
PillApp does not guarantee that reminders or notifications will always be delivered, received, accurate, or timely.
Users remain solely responsible for managing medications and treatment schedules.

8. SUBSCRIPTIONS AND PAYMENTS

Certain features may require a paid subscription.
Subscriptions may:
  • renew automatically,
  • be billed monthly or annually,
  • vary by country or platform.
Payment processing is handled by third-party providers such as:
  • Apple App Store,
  • Google Play,
  • RevenueCat.
We do not store full payment card information.
Unless canceled before renewal, subscriptions automatically renew at the applicable rate.
You may manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings.
Refunds are handled according to applicable platform policies and local laws.

9. ACCEPTABLE USE

You agree not to:
  • misuse the Service,
  • interfere with app functionality,
  • upload malicious code,
  • reverse engineer the Service,
  • attempt unauthorized access,
  • use the Service unlawfully,
  • distribute harmful or illegal content,
  • infringe intellectual property rights.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts violating these Terms.

10. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

The Service may integrate with or link to third-party services.
We are not responsible for:
  • third-party content,
  • third-party privacy practices,
  • external websites,
  • third-party outages or failures.
Your use of third-party services is governed by their own terms and policies.

11. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All rights, title, and interest in the Service, including:
  • software,
  • branding,
  • design,
  • text,
  • graphics,
  • trademarks,
  • AI systems,
  • features,
  • databases
remain the exclusive property of PillApp or its licensors.
You may not:

  • sell,
  • reverse engineer,
  • commercially exploit
any part of the Service without written permission.

12. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.”
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PILLAPP DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING:
  • MERCHANTABILITY,
  • FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE,
  • NON-INFRINGEMENT,
  • ACCURACY,
  • RELIABILITY,
  • AVAILABILITY.
We do not guarantee that:
  • the Service will be uninterrupted,
  • the Service will be error-free,
  • data will always be secure,
  • reminders will always function,
  • AI outputs will be accurate,
  • defects will always be corrected.

13. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PILLAPP AND ITS OWNERS, AFFILIATES, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, OR PARTNERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
  • indirect damages,
  • incidental damages,
  • special damages,
  • consequential damages,
  • loss of profits,
  • health-related damages,
  • medication errors,
  • missed doses,
  • delayed notifications,
  • incorrect AI outputs,
  • data loss,
  • interruptions,
  • device failures.
YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK.

14. INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PillApp and its affiliates from claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses arising from:
  • your use of the Service,
  • your violation of these Terms,
  • misuse of health information,
  • unlawful activity,
  • third-party claims related to your account.

15. TERMINATION

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time if:
  • you violate these Terms,
  • required by law,
  • necessary for security reasons,
  • the Service is discontinued.
You may stop using the Service at any time.

16. PRIVACY

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

17. INTERNATIONAL USERS

The Service may be operated from countries different from your own.
By using the Service, you understand that your data may be transferred internationally in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

18. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these Terms from time to time.
Updated versions become effective upon publication.
Continued use of the Service after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where PillApp operates, unless otherwise required by mandatory consumer protection laws.
